CHINESE BABY WITH 15 CM LONG TAIL REMOVED

A Chinese baby boy named Yang Yang was born with 15 cm long tail with a rare child birth defect which now has been successfully removed by the doctors.

Due to his tail, even his family used to call him "little monkey". And when his mother needed to change his diapers, she used to just lift his tail and change it. This was simply easy method for her.

Beforehand, the doctors had suggested the family to perform the surgery and remove the tail as soon as the baby was born but the family were afraid for the surgery as he was just a small child. As he grew up, there was not such problem but later there seem to be problem starting in the lower areas of the child with problem in his leg.

This grew tension in the family and hence when the child turned 11 months old, they decided to perform the surgery which seem to have been done successfully in a hospital in Chongqing, in the province of Sichua, south-west China.

According to the doctors, the boy must have grown tail due to the deficiency of folic acid during the pregnancy.

Now, after the surgey is done, both the family is happy that the child has gone to normal and healthy state.
