Salman Khan is known for his action films, where he reinvented himself as a new-age 'hero'—who can romance the heroine and kick the butt at the same time. According to reports, Sallu bhai will be seen playing a boxer in Ali Abbas Zafar's next titled 'Sultan'. Salman will be for the first time seen playing a character like this. However, the actor is currently busy with 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' and 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'.


Boxing may well be the new cricket in India. Ranbir Kapoor will play a street fighter in Bombay Velvet. Sidharth Malhotra and Akshay Kumar are playing boxers in Brothers and now, it can be unveiled that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, too, will play one in his next. Yes…our little birdie tells us that in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Sultan, the Dabangg Khan plays the title role of a 40-year-old boxer. Being Human actor is committed to finish Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. He can’t afford to shed his current look.  The once-ignored sport is grabbing eyeballs. And there’s even Honey Singh’s boxing league.Taking up ‘Sultan’ would also mean that the superstar will have to move base to YRF, after finishing the shoot of Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.

And yes Salman Khan seems to have already blocked the Eid dates for the upcoming two years- 2015 and 2016. Eid is one festival which has become synonymous with Salman's films. And now we hear that after scheduling Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan for an Eid release next year, Salman Khan and Aditya Chopra has decided to release YRF's Sultan on Eid 2016.
