Nepal will host India for the second leg of the FIFA World Cup 2018 preliminary qualifying game on Tuesday at the Dasarath Stadium, Kathmandu. India defeated Nepal 2-0 in the first leg game held in Guwahati, thanks to a brace from Sunil Chhetri. Nepal will be desperate to turn the odds in their favour in tomorrow’s game and qualify for the next stage of the qualifiers.
Dasarath Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu. Holding 17,800, it is the biggest stadium in Nepal. It is named after Dasarath Chand, one of the martyrs of Nepal.
Star striker Sunil Chhetri struck twice in the second half as India notched up a 2-0 win over Nepal in a dominating display in the first leg of their 2018 FIFA World Cup football qualifying round one here today.
As many as five Indians made their international debuts with defenders Pritam Kotal, Sandesh Jhingan and Saumik Dey and midfielder Eugeneson Lyngdoh making it to the starting line-up while Jackichand Singh coming in as a substitute in the 57th minute.
