27 guards suspended over Mugabe's fall


President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe suspended his body guards over neglect of duty. Up to 27 bodyguards attached to Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe have allegedly been suspended after he fell at Harare International Airport on Thursday last week. The guards who were faulted for being slow to react as 90-year-old Mugabe stumbled from the dais while going down the steps, received their suspension letters the following day after President Mugabe’s tumble, which resulted in a series of memes.

This incident became viral on Internet and social media, and he became joker on social media Mugabefalls. The social media users made him in different forms, like athletics, dramatist. After this, Zimbabwean government made responsible body guards for this incident and they are dismissed from their post because of they not saved president from such. And there is being further investigation other security officers also. After suspended of 27 body guards there are other new body guards are appointed.


Robert Gabriel Mugabe (/muːˈɡɑːbiː/ moo-gah-bee; Shona pronunciation: [muɡaɓe];[needs tone] born 21 February 1924) is a Zimbabwean revolutionary and politician who is the President of Zimbabwe. As one of the leaders of the rebel groups against white minority rule, he was elected as Prime Minister, head of government, in 1980, and served in that office until 1987, when he became the country's first executive head of state.[2] He has led the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU–PF) since 1975. Mugabe rose to prominence in the 1960s as the Secretary General of ZANU during the conflict against the conservative white minority government of Rhodesia. Mugabe was a political prisoner in Rhodesia for more than 10 years between 1964 and 1974.[3] Upon release Mugabe, along with Edgar Tekere, left Rhodesia in 1975 to re-join the fight during the Rhodesian Bush War from bases in Mozambique.
