The Millions of children live a disadvantaged life in Nepal. There are about 2.6 million children between 5 to 16 years of age and they are working as child laborers in almost all labor sectors. About 5,000 children survives as street children. Though the cases of abuse are frequently reported (especially r@pe cases), the majority of the cases of child seks @buse go unreported due to social stigmatization and inaction of law enforcing agencies. Similarly, seks @buse of boys is completely ignored. Commercial seksual expl0itati0n of children has become a critical issue in Nepali society.
There are several incidences of exposing a child to p0rn0gr@phy, using children for p0rn0gr@phy and pr0stitutl0n, use of children in 0ral seks, s0d0my, of both boys and girls by both Nepalese and foreigners.This report is one of 4 studies on child seks tourism in South Asia undertaken by ECPAT International.
